What is the Pantarei Approach?
The understanding that each of us has our own inner wisdom that we apply in our own life is the basis of Pantarei Approach. We know which decisions are right for us, we know what we like and what we dislike, we know how is it to live as ourselves. However, we so often forget we can access this incredible knowledge.
Body Based Learning
To receive Pantarei Approach sessions is to be reminded through touch and verbal communication of our own resources. Often we feel we understand many aspects of our own life, but to be able to also experience it is something else. This is where body-based learning can add so much. In this Approach we want people to feel the beauty and intensity of learning, through a combination of clarity, together with physical sensations and experience.
The focus of learning in sessions is on the clients themselves. When clients learn to be aware of themselves and their experiences, they can also connect better with others. When they want to be connected with their desires, they start to connect with their own heart. To connect with what they can do in life, they get in touch with their own resources.
The Flow of Life
We chose the name Pantarei for a specific reason. Everything flows and we indeed see life as a great flow. We believe that when we as people, feel connected to our own presence, our life becomes harmonious and situations flow from one to the other. It doesn’t mean that everything will be nice, kind and happy, but rather that we will be able to move from one situation to the other in a smoother way. That no matter how we feel – sad or happy or something else, we’ll be able to acknowledge it, allow it, digest it and move on with a bigger heart and further clarity of ourselves and our surroundings.
The Pantarei Approach is taught as a profession where practitioners learn to give sessions to their clients. Each session is a combination of conversation and touch. Each session is an exploration together; a way to get to know ourselves a bit better and therefore get to know better our own unique way of perceiving, wanting, acting and of loving.
The Approach places great importance on the attitude from where the practitioner works and not only to the techniques and what they do. Just as there is an innate inner wisdom each of us has about our own life, we believe that the tools of touch and conversation are natural for us. We are mainly just reminding students of how best to use these tools in their own individual way, rather than trying to shape the students specifically, in a certain way.
If it is a student in our studies or a client receiving sessions, our Approach encourages personal development and for people to celebrate their individuality. It is about realizing that when each of us is fully aware of ourselves – our complexity, uniqueness, resources, past, desires, strengths and qualities – we not only embrace our being, but also create a better society around us.
The Bigger Picture
When we have a problem and we focus on that, we feel that this is our life. When somebody is able to show us how to connect to ‘the bigger picture’ of our life, to what we want, what we love, our strengths and life experiences; the problem becomes our interest and challenge, rather than something we identify with.
Our uniqueness is being shown in so many ways in our life – through what happened to us, how we have been overcoming obstacles in life and who we were when it happened. Even years later, it is about our choices in life, our loves, pains, decisions, and passions. When each of us perceives their path in life as different, as unique, as interesting, as their own, a world of possibilities can open.
