When we think about our clients’ goals, we have to include many different aspects at the same time: our clients’ uniqueness, their reason for coming to a process, their current situation, their past experiences and their wishes for the future. We need to be attentive to their emotional struggles as well as to their practical needs.
A strategy is planning how to achieve a long-term aim, and how to accompany our clients in the best way possible for them to reach that aim. At the same time, our strategy is about connecting our clients to their unique resources, allowing them to direct their own life path.
As practitioners, we wish to create an agile plan; one that can easily change and adapt to changing circumstances. In order to do that, we too need to be agile in our approach.
In this course you will learn how to:
- Describe your observations about your clients
- Become clear about your clients’ goals
- Be attentive to the circumstances affecting your clients, in your planning
- Realize how to change your strategy according to the development of the process
- Keep notes about your clients that will support your work
You are welcome to join Vered in this course if you enjoy the act of planning and would like to practice it further. Similarly, if you would like to transform the challenge of thinking about your clients into something that feels easier and more natural for you, come along.
